While driving on a busy highway, Debbie Allen noticed traffic slowing down and quickly spotted the reason—a lost German shepherd wandering in the road. Tragically, the dog was hit by a car, and the driver fled the scene.Putting her plans aside, Debbie pulled over to help. She chased the injured, limping dog to safety and stayed with it, calming and comforting it until Michigan State Police arrived.Though anxious, the dog seemed well-groomed and cared for, leading Debbie to believe it had only recently gotten lost.
