Soul legend D’Angelo has died at 51 after a private battle with pancreatic cancer.
His family said, “The shining star of our family has dimmed his light for us in this life.
After a prolonged and courageous battle with cancer,we are heartbroken to announce that Michael D’Angelo Archer…has been called home.”
Rising in the 1990s, D’Angelo was praised for using real instruments and crafting a warm, organic sound that set him apart.
